The term visual aid encompasses a wide range of items. The more common ones include slides, overheads, charts, videos and flipcharts. There is two things presenter need to remember about visual aids, they should be visible and aid. Visual aids can gain attention; help the audience remember the key points, and help it better understand the flow of the presenter talk.





Flipchart
These are usually prepared on large sheets of paper or card and then used to present to small groups of people. The large sheets of papers are cliped togather on a stand. This is one of the cheapest way to present.




Over Head Projector

Known as OHP for short, this is getting more and more common as it is cheap and reliable. The OHP is a device fo projecting prepared transparencies onto a screen.





TELEVISION

A sophisticated piece of equipment which is able to bring out any images. With the growing popularity of Video Camera, making a short film is relatively easy as when compare to the past.




Slide Projector

Most slide projectors are portables and self-threading which makes operating them easy. It is able to bring out different types of images and thus providing an entertaining and instructive dimension to any presentation.






Projector

This is a very good equipment to use when the images to display are colourful and there is a need to use several slides for different objects.
